One major drawback of electric mixers is its dependency on a main power source or a generator. It limits the operational scale considerably and sometimes discourages people from using this option even if it is otherwise the better choice.

When it comes to safety, both models have their limitations. Dealing with flammable gas requires proper training and precautions. Also, these modes emit dangerous carbon monoxide fumes so enclosures are a must. On the other hand, electric models have to guard against the risk of electrocution if it comes in contact with water, making them risky in a typical all-weather construction site. However, it must be added that cement mixer manufacturers imply strict safety measures and substantially reduce safety risks in both cases.

While gas mixers might be more prevalent in heavy-duty construction sites, eclectic mixers are the preferred choices in home improvement projects.
