Search for local industrial equipment repair specialists, power tool repair shops, or heavy equipment mechanics.

Does the motor have grease/oil?

2024 and after: New line of $1/2$ HP and $3/4$ HP motors (UR symbol) have permanent thick grease inside. If regreasing is needed, use 75W-90 gear lube.
2023 and before: Use 75w-90 gear lube. (4 oz for $1/2$ HP; 8 oz for $3/4$ HP) .

How to tell the difference between an older version (2023 and before) vs current UL version (2024 and after)?

Older versions: Casing (DDMA-17) has horizontal fins; Fan Cover (DDMA-23) has slotted/oval holes.
Newer versions: Casing (G3DD-17) has horizontal rectangular flat bars; Fan Cover (G3DD-17) has square or diamond-shaped holes.
